Lisa Baydush, Audrey Katz and Barry Astrow are Shir Synergy,
a Jewish music trio whose original songs, exquisite harmonies
and sunshine-y spirit delight audiences of all ages! 

Lisa Baydush is a Jewish music educator, singer, song-writer and lay service leader in the Washington, DC metropolitan area.  Lisa is the preschool music specialist at the Jewish Community Center in Rockville.  She leads family High Holiday services at Sixth & I Historic Synagogue, Tot Shabbat services at Congregation B'nai Tzedek, and music at b'nai mitzvah services and other programs upon request.  Lisa has written and composed over 80 songs since she first picked up the guitar in 2001.  Her creative lyrics and melodies comprise all of Shir Synergy's songs...  for more about Lisa, click here.   

Audrey Katz has been leading services ever since she was encouraged as a teenager to seek out new paths for Jewish music by her rabbi. A talented singer and song-leader, Audrey is the Religious School Music Director at Washington Hebrew Congregation. 
It was at a family service at WHC in 2001 that a congregant named Lisa Baydush approached Audrey to share a song she had written called, “Find the Sunshine.”  That was the beginning of a new friendship and musical partnership.  Sunshine Girls ever since, the dynamic duo joined forces with Barry Astrow in 2003... for more about Audrey, click here.

Barry Astrow is a computer programming specialist with a velvet voice.  His flair for harmony and counter-melody arrangement has given rise to his justly deserved title of “Harmony King.”  In the mid '90’s, Barry’s harmonies during a Shabbat service caught the attention of cantorial soloist Audrey Katz, which led to a partnership, with the duo singing together at congregational events.  In 2003, Audrey introduced her friend Barry to her friend Lisa... and the rest, as they say, is synergistic history!  Barry also sings with the D.C. area's a cappella group, Take Note!... for more about Barry, click here.
